The ticket with no error code

Compliant isn’t the same as working

“My laptop is slow.” No error code, no time stamp, and by the time an engineer looks, it has passed. So it bounces between the service desk, the network team and a remote session, while the person waits.

Intune can tell you the device is compliant, encrypted and up to date. Eido tells you whether it is working for the person using it, and why not.

Intune on its own

With Eido

A score for every device every night, the minute it went wrong, the app behind it, and whether it was the device or the network.

The experience score

A score for every device, and the reason behind it

Every night each device gets a score from 0 to 100, built from performance, reliability, the network, startup and logon, and device health. Click a day to see where the points went, down to the app behind a loss.

The worst devices find you, before their users raise a ticket. And because the standard score is the same for every organisation, a better number next month is a real improvement.

Device or network

The laptop, the Wi-Fi, the router or the internet, answered

Open the device and the weak link is already marked. Here it is the laptop: memory has been high since lunchtime, and Teams is holding most of it. The Wi-Fi, the router and the internet are fine, so nobody calls the network team.

Is it the laptop or the network? One look at the device answers it, without a remote session.
Change Impact

Every Intune change, checked against experience

Find the policy change that made logons slower before the tickets tell you. Each change gets a verdict, measured against the rest of your tenant, so a bad week for everybody is not blamed on it.

Experience: Change Impact for this month: five Intune changes with their verdicts. A security baseline change on 7 October is Worse, with the score 6.4 points down against other devices and logons 38% slower on 214 devices; a Teams update policy is Worse with crashes up 61%; a Defender exclusions change is Better; an Edge change had no effect; an update ring change had not enough data.
  • Worse
  • Better
  • No effect
  • Not enough data

A comparison, not proof: something else can happen to the same devices in the same week. Microsoft’s anomaly detection in the E3 and E5 analytics looks for jumps in crashes, hangs and stop errors after configuration changes (Microsoft Learn); Change Impact adds the experience score and logon times, for every change.

We reduced broken configuration policies, cut unused licences, and saved approximately $30,000.

The visibility Eido gave us changed everything.

The rest of Eido

There is more to Eido than digital experience

The same product, alongside Intune, in one place.

Device data from minutes ago, not hours

Intune checks in about every 8 hours. With the Eido Client, inventory refreshes as often as every 15 minutes, up to 32x fresher, and a device can be fixed from its page without a remote session.

In one day, Intune's scheduled check-in happens about 3 times. At its fastest settings the Eido Client refreshes inventory up to 96 times, checks the event log 288 times and samples performance up to 28,800 times. One day on one Windows device. The Eido Client at its fastest settings; each tenant chooses its own. Intune’s scheduled check-in is about every 8 hours (Microsoft Learn), and some changes are pushed sooner.

120+ Intune reports, ready the day you connect

Compliance, patching, apps, Autopilot, policy and audit, joined to every device, user and Entra group, with 12 months of history behind them. No Power BI project, and no Graph API scripts to maintain.

An Eido dashboard: compliance, device and issue tiles, compliance broken down by department, the top issues, and charts of devices by OS, patch status and warranty cover.

Complete patch status, on every platform

Windows, Windows 365, macOS, iPhone, iPad and Android in one view, graded against your own rules with update ring deferrals taken into account. Down to each patch on each device.

  • Windows 365 73% 27% 100
  • macOS 83% 17% 48

Undo the policy change that ruined Monday

A new version of every Intune policy each time it changes, every setting’s value over time, and a restore when a change goes wrong.

Policy settings history in Eido: each setting of each policy, its value, when that value took effect and how long it has held, such as minimum OS versions and BitLocker encryption methods.

Problems reach the service desk on their own

When an alert fires or an automation runs, Eido raises a ServiceNow incident with the device’s primary user as the caller, or posts to Teams, Slack, email or a webhook. ServiceNow SAM reads app usage from Eido.

No spreadsheets, and nobody copying anything across by hand.

See who opens every paid app, before you renew it

Intune knows where an app is installed, not who uses it. Eido shows who ran each app, on how many days and for how long, so a renewal is a decision, not a guess. No new agent to install.

Each team sees its own devices, without scope tags

Rules on real device and user attributes, such as department, office or device name, applied to every report and dashboard. No scope tags to set up or maintain.

FAQs

Questions about digital experience

Which devices does it cover?

Windows devices running the Eido Client, including Windows 365 Cloud PCs, where the connection to the Cloud PC is scored in place of the Wi-Fi and the internet. Most teams deploy the Eido Client through Intune as a Win32 app. A device gets its first score after its third day of use.

Where is the data kept?

The minute-by-minute readings stay on the device, for seven days, and are never stored in Eido. Eido keeps what the device works out from them, and the score it calculates from that, in the region you chose: UK, EU or US.

How is this different from Endpoint analytics?

Endpoint analytics, included with Intune, scores startup performance, application reliability and Work from anywhere, and is worth switching on. Eido adds the network path, the app behind each slowdown at the minute it happened, every logon timed, a verdict on each Intune change and a score you can tune, and sits alongside it. The full comparison links Microsoft’s documentation for each line.
